Nick is the managing partner of Spencer Fane's office in Overland Park, Kansas, and has handled and tried numerous business litigation cases over the past 32 years. Nick has extensive experience in employment litigation, including covenants not to compete and trade secrets litigation. He has obtained, and successfully opposed, temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunction and permanent injunctions, involving a wide array of industries, businesses and professions. Nick is a frequent author and speaker on employment issues, trade secrets, civil litigation and electronic discovery, and lawyer ethics. He is Board Certified in Civil Litigation by the National Board of Trial Advocates.

Nick received his law degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1975. He received his bachelor's degree, with Honors, from The Principia College in 1972, with a double major in English Literature and Business Administration. Nick is admitted to practice in Kansas and Missouri, as well as numerous federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.
