Josh Dickinson is a partner in Spencer Fane’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Labor & Employment Groups. He represents businesses and professionals in complex commercial disputes with an emphasis on post-employment restrictive covenants. Josh has successfully represented national and regional clients in dozens of cases involving commercial trade secrets and post-employment covenants not-to-compete in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Alabama, Wisconsin and elsewhere. He also devotes a significant portion of his practice to drafting post-employment covenants including non-competition, non-solicitation, anti-raiding, confidentiality, and severance agreements. Josh also counsels clients concerning pre-litigation issues, including implementation of such covenants within the workforce and effective systems for comprehensive enforcement.

Josh is licensed and actively practices law in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, as well as trial and appellate federal courts located in these states. Immediately prior to joining Spencer Fane, Josh was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Gary A. Fenner, United States District Court Judge for the Western District of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri. Josh received his law degree from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a published Law Review member. Josh received his bachelor's degree in psychology and Spanish, summa cum laude, from Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa.
